Colter's weekend in Austin

This was taking at Krause Springs in Spicewood, TX. This is right down the road from the lakehouse and it's a great place to cool off. You might ask why we can't cool off at the lake. That's because there is NO FREAKIN WATER!! The LCRA is sending the water south to who knows where...... Yes, he is flexing....
I guess this is the view from the other side. On a side note, I'm not to fond of the way my pictures load on the blog. I feel like I'm having to tell my story backwards.....

This is Colter and I asleep at the lake house in Austin. Cheryl asked me to hold him for a minute while she got ready for the day and I did. We just went back to sleep. I can count on this move almost all the time. I just don't sleep real well like this due to the fact that he punches me in the jugular when I start to snore. Colter and I both snore a little bit, he wins the battle on sleeping everytime.

Sweet baby boy! He was attentive from his first breath. I know a lot of you have kids and they are all beautiful. Not as beautiful as mine. I don't care what you say, that is a handsome young man. Don't be jealous, that's just the way it is. This is 90% sarcasm and 10% serious. Cheryl make beautiful boys named Colter. Probably girls too....

This is during Colter's first bath. Cheryl's mom offered to do the honors. From the looks of it, this kid loves to get his hair washed. There are 6 people crammed in the hall bathroom of our home to witness this and it was all laughs. He no longer fits in this sink, so we moved to the laundry room where there is adequate space and quicker access to towels.

This picture was taken about an hour after Colter was born. From here on out nobody has been allowed to hold my son, if I'm able to hold him myself. That is due to the fact that I'm pretty selfish when it comes to my son. I enjoy every second I get with him and quite frankly, I don't want to share that with anybody, that would be an oppourtunity missed on my part. Now, I will admit, there are times that I can't hold him and Cheryl or somebody else is better off with him. Let's say when he's hungry or he has had enough of Dad all together. That happens more often than I care to admit.
